The Alpha Course
What exactly is Alpha?
The Alpha Course is a great space to ask some of the big questions of life. Why am I here? Is there a God? Why is there suffering in the world? What is the purpose of life? How can I have faith? No question is too simple or too hostile.
No matter whether you are new to church, or have been part of church for many years, the course is an opportunity to engage with the important issues of life and faith, in a relaxed nonthreatening manner. It’s low key, friendly and fun, supported by all the main Christian denominations.
Everyone is welcome.
8 Weekly sessions 7.00-9.15pm beginning Monday 27 September to 22 November (excepting 25 October—Half Term) at St James Church Centre, Church Street, Wetherby LS22 6LP.

Why attend an Alpha Course?
Guests come on the Alpha course for many different reasons; some want to investigate whether God exists and some have questions they’d like to discuss. Many guests have never been to church and others may have attended church but feel they have never had a personal understanding of the Christian faith.
