Worship at St James’, Wetherby with Linton – an overview of the variety of our services

Sunday Morning Services

08.00   Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer)

A quiet, reflective service using traditional language lasting about 35 mins 

09.30   Parish Communion

The worship is led by our choir at this flourishing liturgical service.  The service lasts about 60 minutes.  After the service refreshments are served in the Church Centre.

11.00   Worship @11.00

A contemporary service led by the Worship Group.  There are groups for primary aged children and secondary young people.  A communion service is held one a month.  The service lasts about 50 minutes.  Refreshments are served at the back of church. 

… or monthly Family Service

Worship with something for everyone of all ages led by our Music Group.  This is a fast moving service with hymns, songs, fun and laughter.  The service lasts about 45 minutes. Refreshments are served at the back of church.

Sunday Evening Services

15.00  Forest Church (third Sunday of the month) 

Imagine a church where the floor is the grass and the ceiling the sky.  If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, come and join us for St James’ Forest Church.  We meet in the Millennium Field (the area between Barleyfields Road and Quarry Hill Lane.  The format is very relaxed and lasts about 40 minutes.

18.30  Evensong (Book of Common Prayer) (first Sunday of the month)

Led by the choir, and using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer, anthems and hymns, this is a beautiful service to end the day.  The service lasts about 50 minutes.
