Suggestions for Prayer
Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Lenten season, provides an opportunity to draw closer to our Lord as we seek to follow His Teaching and grow in faith. So pray for His blessing upon the various home groups, their leaders and the extra services that have been arranged. Pray that all who attend will be challenged and encouraged.
People in the Aire Road area of Wetherby:  Aire Road, Aire Mount, Foss Avenue, Leven Gardens, Washburn Court, Priest Hill Gardens, Hawthorne Avenue.

Finding a Voice – A Course for Lent. There will be a number of homegroups meeting throughout Lent. This year we are using a course called ‘Finding a Voice’, which is based on the film ‘The King’s Speech’. Groups will begin the week after Ash Wednesday. Thank you. David Bewell

Esther Women’s Trip to Ripon Cathedral on Friday 15 March at 7.00pm to see ‘Son et Lumiere’. With spectacular projections and music from the Cathedral Consort and others, commemorating 50 years since the moon landing. Tickets are £10 from Eventbrite and through our Facebook page. Tools with a Mission (TWAM) – Churches Together are organising another collection of tools on Saturday 16 March from 10.00am to 4.00pm in the Church Room. The donated tools will be sorted into trade kits and sent to countries in the Developing World for ‘livelihood creation’. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Lent Lunches – As in previous years, we will be holding a simple Lent Lunch in the Centre following the Thursday Lent Meditations in Church. If you can help with these by either making some soup, or helping in the kitchen, this would be much appreciated. The Children’s Society Committee would like to thank everyone who came to support us at our recent Coffee Morning in the Town Hall. We were very lucky with the weather and are very pleased to report that we made £615.00. Many thanks. Jill Rose
Holy Land Experience - On behalf of ‘the cast’, I would like to say thank you to all those who supported us last Saturday at our Social Evening, this was very much appreciated. We raised the fantastic amount of £687.00 for the Boys’ Home. Thank you and a loud ‘Praise the Lord’. Derek Taylor
